Our mission is to empower parents to exercise their legal rights to a free and appropriate public education for their child with a disability. Learning to navigate the process can be daunting; and parents need to be equal participants of the educational team.
Our goal is to enable parents to become lifelong advocates for their child while pursuing services and programming to meet the individual child’s current needs.
We can help by assisting parents at:
Due Process Hearings
Manifestation Determination Meetings
Federal Court Litigation
We are also available for legal consultations, record review, the referral and evaluation processes, development of goals and objectives, appropriate services and placement, discipline issues and transition to adulthood.
Attorney Nora Belanger limits her practice to special education and disability rights laws, including the IDEA (The Individuals with Disabilities Education Act), ADA (Americans with Disabilities Act) and Section 504 of the 1973 Rehabilitation Act.
